In 1865, Georges Favre-Jacot founded the "Fabrique des Billodes" the first watchmaker's manufactory to unite all production steps under one roof. Initially, Georges Favre-Jacot produced signed precision pocket watches. Gradually he ventured into producing shipboard chronometers, table clocks, wristwatches, precision pendulum clocks, and marine chronometers. 

Since 1890, the timepieces have been exported all over the world. In 1911, the manufactory was renamed Zenith. The name stands as a symbol for the brand's top horological achievements. After the First World War, Zenith began to develop and manufacture wristwatches with alarm clocks and chronographs. Inside those stopwatches ticked a Valjoux movement. 

To this day, Zenith remains one of the most innovative watch manufacturers in history. Over the years, Zenith has filed 300 patents and introduced 600 different movements. With 2,333 chronometry awards, Zenith holds a record in the field of precision instruments that is unsurpassed to date.
